An old grey mare laid in a nest of dried up leaves. In the middle of fall she began to foal. Her sides heaved with contractions as she pushed. First came a pitched black filly. The mare couldn't pause to clean it, for shortly after a solid white colt followed. She rose shakily to her hooves and cleaned both up. She managed to whispered both of them their names before her vision blurred. The scenery swirled around her as she fell back to the ground. Hooves drummed silently as a darkened stag came forth. He smiled at his new kin and gave the filly nod. Yet the colt made him frown. The colt was smaller and calmer. He didn't make a fuss. He grabbed the white foal and dragged him off.
In the middle of a circle of dark, angered brutes stood the white colt. His body shook uncontrolably. His small harks flew forward and backward as they chanted words. The big black hue walked forward. He uttered quick words and then left. The white foal was herded in to the river. His small head barely above water. He swam to the other side as the darks pressed him on. Soon he was left alone in wolf territory.
He was raised by a silver mare. She took him in as her own son. But soon the black filly came to power. She was just as evil as her sire. She wanted more power. And this is just the beginning...both horses now fully grown fight for balance in the world. But only time will tell who will win the age old battle of peace...
